Worthy Resolution

New years resolutions are interesting. I think its a wise thing giving up a bad habit or starting a new one and the New Year is a great time to do it. You can be conscientious of it since we seem to be more aware of the new year, not yet become complacent with the time of year.

I would propose a resolution worthy of consideration for common Christians this new year. It is simple but I think it does require alot of effort and a game plan. Do not get me wrong on this one there will be no success without the Holy Spirits guidance. Thank God when you are saved you have the Holy Spirit within you.

So first I will tell you the Resolution: The resolution to pursue the opportunity to lead at least one person to Christ this year. There is nothing more important than following that command to go into all the world and preach the gospel.

So I will give you my gameplan for implementing that:

1. Prayer-asking for: Holy Spirit leadership if this is right for you,
2. Resolve to prepare and study to deal with people about those things eternal,
3. Boldness to do what is necessary at the time required,
4. Opportunity to speak with those most important to you and to others as well,
5. finally a pure heart, sactified to this work.

Why do this? Out of obedience to God, out of concern for souls, and to bring Glory to God.

I believe that this is a worthy Resolution for this new year. I intend to make it. I believe that if you did as well, we would see spirtual growth within ourself, we would see many opportunities, and I believe we would see more than just one person lead to Christ.
